This section of the website features some of the creations that are meals, mainly created by Wayne at home.




Bacon and Brie Sandwich

Bacon and Brie, served with Iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato and sweet onion chutney... all between two slices of buttered wholemeal bread.

Banana Pancakes

Pancakes made from squished banana, porridge oats, 1 egg and some sultanas and chocolate pieces.

Bangers n Bubble

Pork sausages and homemade bubble n squeak served with baked beans.

Bangers n Mash

Meaty pork sausages and honey caramelised red onions, with mustard mash and baked beans

Beef and Bubble

Slow roasted brisket of beef in homemade beef gravy and mushrooms. Served alongside homemade bubble n squeak.

Birthday Cake

For my 53rd birthday, Jezz made a Victoria sponge cake for me, but with his own twist. The centre is pineapple jam and homemade buttercream, the top was the rest of the buttercream which was then covered in rainbow-coloured hundreds and thousands.

Bread and Butter Pudding

Jezz made this bread and butter pudding from shop bought scones adding sultanas and cherries.

Bubble n Squeak

This is my traditional homemade bubble n squeak which is normally a flavoured mashed potato (with added softcheese or coarsegrain mustard) and then diced onions and chopped greens or kale.


Chicken Curry and Special Rice

Chicken pieces cooked in a homemade curry sauce including tomatoes, coconut, sultanas and almond flakes. Served with long grain rice with egg, carrots, peas and sweetcorn.

Chilli and Tortilla Crisps

Minced beef chilli con carne on white rice and topped with grated Cheddar cheese. Served with cool tortilla crisps.

Christmas Dinner 

Roast turkey, roast chicken, sliced baked ham, sausagemeat, pork sausage and bacon balls, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, Brussell sprouts and carrots. Served with cranberry sauce and apple sauce and turkey gravy.

Christmas Dinner (Large)

Roast turkey, sliced baked ham, sausagemeat, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, Brussell sprouts and carrot balls. Served with cranberry sauce and turkey gravy.

Cooked Breakfast

Bacon, Cumberland sausage, mushrooms, scrambled egg cake and baked beans. Served with a hot mug of tea and a choice of sauces.

Crispy Pork Stir Fry

Sticky streaky pork bites, Chinese vegetables and pineapple, served on a bed of medium egg noodles.


Egg and Potato Salad

Hard-boiled eggs, sliced potatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, Iceberg lettuce with fresh cracked black pepper and drizzled salad cream.


Florentine Shards

After so many different attempts to replicate a village baker's florentine cake, between Jezz and I, I think we've almost perfected it! We prefer breaking up a large tray of the florentine mixture but could easily cut out shapes instead. I have made bars and slices and even cut out heart-shaped Florentines for my sister, on one occasion.

Fort Beano

A play on bangers and mash... pork sausages (halved) as soldiers, placed in the mashed potato (or the fort). The soldiers are protecting the baked beans inside!


Gin and Tonic

Jezz made Wayne a gin and tonic, making use of the gin glasses he had received at Christmas. He added fresh mint leaves from the garden with cucumber slices and a wedge of frozen lemon instead of ice.


Ham, Egg and Chips

Freshly carved baked ham, fried egg and chips, served with a side salad of cucumber, tomato and spring onion and a spoonful of homemade caramelised sweet onion chutney. 

Hawaiian Burger

A chunky beef quarterpounder amongst bacon, mushrooms, cheese, pineapple, tomato, Iceberg lettuce, tomato ketchup and sweetcorn relish all between a warm and lightly toasted white bun.

Hot Dogs and Sweet Potato Fries

Quality pork sausage placed in a white finger roll and topped with honey caramelised sliced onions. Served with a basket of homemade sweet potato baked fries. 


Lamb Neck Fillet

Roasted neck fillet of lamb with lamb gravy and mint sauce, roast potatoes, spiralised butternut squash, broccoli with cheese and mustard sauce.


Minted Lamb Wheels

Minced minted lamb wrapped in puff pastry. Served with roast potatoes, button mushrooms, cauliflower and broccoli in cheese and mustard sauce.

Mixed Salad

Barbeque chicken pieces, tuna with sweetcorn and red pepper in mayonnaise, coleslaw, carrot and sultana salad, sliced tomatoes, baby beetroot, Iceberg lettuce, spring onion with drizzled balsamic vinegar glaze.

Mr Merlin (Meatloaf)

An all-in-one roasting pan meal of low-fat seasoned beef mince and onions, hand shaped into a meatloaf, dressed with roasted sliced potatoes and carrots.


Prawn Cocktail

Large peeled and cooked prawns in a Marie Rose sauce on a bed of shredded Iceberg lettuce. Served with freshly buttered brown bread.


Roast Beef

Topside of rump beef with horseradish, golden syrup, brown sugar and pepper coating, roast potatoes, steamed mixed vegetables. Served in a warm crisp Yorkshire pudding and beef gravy made from meat juices and sauce.

Roast Pork

Roast pork joint with crackling, cooking in a halogen oven, with roast potatoes, roast parsnips and Brussell sprouts.


Sausage and egg muffin

Copied directly from McDonalds, this is a pork sausagemeat pattie, fried egg and a slice of processed cheese with mild mustard and tomato sauce in a lightly toasted white muffin.

Steak and Chips

Seasoned with rock salt and fresh cracked black pepper, this is a sirloin steak covered in peppercorn sauce with straight cut chips, mushrooms and peas.


Trout and Orange Salad

A large fillet of trout with creamy parsley sauce served alongside potato salad, beetroot and carrot salad and traditional coleslaw and lettuce and sliced orange.
